1. Read before using market-linked or onchain features
Hood League is a fantasy market product. Some features may reference volatile financial or crypto assets and may interact with public blockchain infrastructure. These technologies involve risks that may result in loss, failed transactions, unavailable features, or unexpected outcomes.
2. Market and volatility risk
Stocks, cryptocurrencies, tokens, and other referenced assets can change value rapidly. Historical or simulated performance does not predict future performance. Leaderboard outcomes may change quickly as market data changes.
3. Market-data risk
Prices and percentage changes may come from third-party APIs, exchanges, data vendors, or public endpoints. Data can be delayed, unavailable, inconsistent across venues, corrected after publication, or affected by technical errors. Fantasy scores based on such data may therefore differ from other sources.
4. Wallet and key-management risk
Your wallet provider controls access to your private keys. If you lose your seed phrase, sign a malicious transaction, approve an unsafe contract, or expose your credentials, assets may be permanently lost. Hood League cannot recover private keys or reverse a blockchain transaction.
5. Blockchain and network risk
Public networks may experience congestion, outages, reorganizations, unexpected fees, RPC failures, contract bugs, forks, validator issues, or other disruptions. Transactions may fail, remain pending, or execute at an unexpected time.
6. Smart-contract and token risk
Smart contracts and tokens may contain vulnerabilities, admin controls, upgrade mechanisms, economic design flaws, liquidity limitations, or other risks. A token appearing in the Hood League interface does not mean Hood League has audited or endorsed that token.
7. Regulatory and jurisdiction risk
Laws affecting crypto assets, games, promotions, fantasy competitions, securities, taxes, and blockchain services vary by jurisdiction and may change. Features available in one location may be restricted or unavailable in another.
8. Competition and scoring risk
Fantasy competition results may depend on scoring methodology, timing windows, data providers, tie-breaking rules, system availability, and anti-abuse controls. A displayed rank or score may be corrected if data or calculations are later found to be inaccurate.
9. Third-party risk
Hood League may rely on wallets, RPC endpoints, market-data vendors, hosting providers, protocols, and other external services. Their failures, changes, or security incidents may affect the Service.
10. Your responsibility
Review every wallet request before approving it, verify the network and address, keep your device and wallet secure, and independently assess any asset or protocol you choose to interact with. Do not risk funds you cannot afford to lose.
