1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Hood League website, Beta v2.1 experience, wallet-aware interfaces, fantasy-market features, and related services. Third-party services linked from or integrated with Hood League may process information under their own privacy policies.
2. Information we process
Information you provide
If you contact Hood League, join a waitlist, create a profile, submit feedback, or use another feature that asks for information, we may process the information you choose to provide.
Wallet and blockchain information
When you connect a wallet, the Service may process your public wallet address, selected network, wallet connection status, public token balances, transaction hashes, contract interactions, and other information already available on a public blockchain.
Technical and usage information
Hosting, security, and application infrastructure may process IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, referring pages, error logs, security events, and basic interaction information needed to deliver and protect the Service.
Fantasy and product activity
The Service may process draft selections, league participation, scores, ranking data, profile settings, badges, preferences, and other product activity necessary to operate the fantasy experience.
3. Sources
Information may come directly from you, your browser or device, your wallet provider, public blockchains, Hood League product activity, hosting and security providers, and market-data or blockchain-data services used to power the Service.
4. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the Hood League experience.
- Connect wallet-aware features requested by you.
- Calculate and display fantasy drafts, scores, rankings, and profiles.
- Retrieve and display market and blockchain data.
- Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical failures.
- Debug, monitor, and improve reliability and usability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate with you when you request support or updates.
5. Public blockchain data
Public blockchain information is generally visible to anyone and may be permanent. If you use an onchain feature, your public address and transaction activity may be accessible through nodes, block explorers, analytics tools, RPC providers, and other third parties. Hood League cannot erase, correct, or make private information that has been written to a public blockchain.
A public wallet address is pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous, and may become linked to other information through public or third-party analysis.
6. Wallet connections
Wallet connection software may allow Hood League to request your public address and network information and to present messages or transactions for your approval. Your wallet provider controls private-key access and signing. Hood League does not receive your private key or seed phrase through a standard wallet connection.
Disconnecting a wallet stops the active connection but does not remove information already recorded on a public blockchain or information that must be retained for legitimate security or legal purposes.
7. Service providers and data sources
Hood League may use third parties for hosting, content delivery, security, RPC access, wallet connectivity, block exploration, market data, blockchain data, analytics, error monitoring, communications, and similar operational services.
Current market-data integrations may include Robinhood Stock Token APIs for supported equity-reference data, CoinGecko for selected crypto-market data, and DEX Screener for selected onchain-token market data. Those providers may change as the product evolves, and each provider operates under its own terms and privacy practices.
8. Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, Hood League may process information because it is necessary to provide a feature you requested, to pursue legitimate interests such as service security and reliability, to comply with legal obligations, or because you provided consent. The applicable basis depends on the feature and jurisdiction.
10. International processing
Internet, cloud, wallet, blockchain, and market-data services may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, Hood League will use appropriate mechanisms for international data transfers and will provide additional jurisdiction-specific disclosures.
11. Retention
Hood League retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including security, legal, operational, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods may differ by data type and feature. Public blockchain records are outside Hood League’s control and may remain available indefinitely.
12. Your choices and rights
You can disconnect your wallet, clear local browser storage, block optional cookies, and decline optional permissions. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights may be limited where an exemption applies or where information cannot technically be removed from a public blockchain.
13. Security
Hood League aims to use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Service. No website, wallet integration, API, smart contract, cloud system, or blockchain network can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for securing your wallet, device, credentials, and browser environment.
14. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, users must be at least 18 years old.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy as Hood League, its service providers, or applicable laws change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current published version. Where required, material changes will be communicated through the Service or another reasonable channel.
